Members of RCCS come from all walks of life and come together weekly to share our love of singing and meet the challenge of learning fine choral music. Many of our members are excellent musicians and act as leaders for those of us who offer more enthusiasm than talent. RCCS concerts have featured choral masterpieces, selections from opera, Americana, and commissioned works. Professional musicians and soloists accompany the chorus at each concert, many of whom have been featured on many of the grandest stages in the world.

Rehearsals generally begin on the Monday after Labor Day for the fall season and the Monday after New Year’s Day for spring. Confirming your acceptance into the Choral Society implies that you'll arrive on time, attend rehearsals, prepare your part for rehearsal, and participate in concerts.
In addition to rehearsals and the two concerts a year, we give back to the community with outreach concerts. This enables us to perform for a population who would otherwise not be able to enjoy live choral music.
Dues for each season of membership are $60. These fees help to cover operating costs including music rental, hiring of instrumentalists, venue rentals, mailing and printing costs. No one will be excluded for financial reasons. Prospective members are welcome to attend a rehearsal prior to joining, which provides an opportunity to gain a level of comfort before scheduling an audition.
Singers in all vocal sections are welcome to join us. Potential members complete a brief 10-minute vocal placement for the conductor prior the new season, which includes basic vocalizing and sight-singing. There is no need to bring a prepared piece.
